I met this guy online, and he wanted to hang out. I thought he was cool so far, so I went along with it. We met up at a restaurant, I won't be specific. I'm a naturally shy person to begin with. I arrive there to find him sitting in the back of the restaurant with his laptop and headphones on. Instantly I thought to myself, "Oh jeez, what have I gotten myself into?" This guy had BIGGER breasts than I did! He was all sweaty like he just ran a marathon; your regular grease monkey. And when he spoke, I just wanted to die. He had a LISP. On just about EVERY word. I sat there awkwardly for what seemed like hours. He went on babbling about things I didn't care about; I was barely paying attention. I couldn't stop focusing on his lisp and man boobs. He'd make awkward poses and say really weird things. He was just someone you felt embarrassed to be seen in public with. And then he started complaining about past relationships! (Is that something you seriously talk about on first dates? I think not...) Turns out he actually had a girlfriend! What in the heck? I just smiled and nodded while he complained about his current relationship, all the while texting a friend of mine. I begged her to come save me. And like a great friend, she showed up not much later, ordered food and approached me as if it was all a big surprise. She sat down beside me and I pretty much ignored the monstrosity sitting in front of me as I spoke to her. We kept texting to each other -- the things we couldn't say aloud. Finally, I asked her to call my phone. I excused myself as it rang and walked off, pretending to talk on the phone. Moments later, I returned, explaining my dad called me and I had to pick up my brother from band practice. (Which was a COMPLETE lie, I just needed to escape.) "Coincidentally," my friend was leaving at the same time. I apologized for leaving, and the guy said it was fine and hugged me, which made me feel kind of sick. And I said to him, "I'll talk to you.. umm.. later." And he perked up and said, "R-really?" And then I eyed him, shifting away saying, "Um. No. I change my mind." And walked out. My friend and I met up right after that, laughing at the poor guy and the fact that I got myself caught up in such a situation. Apparently he thought I was kidding around when I told him I changed my mind, because he was back to texting me hours later. And even sent me a half naked picture of him! Talk about obsessively desperate. I think he finally got the hint after I failed to reply to him after his several attempts to talk to me. Thank goodness... ()
